So another murder of an abortionist has occurred. Much will be said about murder being committed by someone who professes to be pro-life. And I know Paul Hill's actions are likely to harm, not help, the right-to-life movement.
But why is there no public outrage over the millions of lives brutally cut off in America? The courts have decided that while Dr. Britton is a human, these ``fetuses'' are not. Life has been reduced to politics.
I can recall another time in America's history when a group was singled out as being less than human. Once their humanness was rationalized away, they could be bought and sold without guilt. The bloody Civil War resulted.
I feel remorse for the slaying of Dr. Britton. I feel remorse a million times over for the babies whose bodies are tossed out as garbage. I regard abortionists as murderers, no matter what the law says. If I had lived during the days of slavery, I hope I would have been as morally outraged as I am now.
I believe in the sanctity of life. However, I would support our country in a justly fought war. As abortionists are murderers, so everyone in this country is an accomplice. Including myself. These are sad days in the ``land of the free.''
