Elizabeth Davis Koontz, formerly of the 1400 block of Sweetbriar Ave. in the Lakewood section of Norfolk, died Aug. 10, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Koontz was born in Norfolk and was the widow of Hugh D. Koontz Jr. She was a member of Episcopal Church of the Ascension, Order of the Eastern Star Old Dominion Chapter and Lakewood Garden Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Koontz Trexler of Virginia Beach; a son, Hugh D. Koontz III of Marshall, N.C.; a brother, Delamater Davis Jr. of Winter Haven, Fla.; four grandchildren, Mercer T. Kissinger III, D. Scott Kissinger, Kimberley A. Sandidge and Hugh D. Koontz IV; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Episcopal Church of the Ascension by the Rev. David W. Davenport. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and other times at 1304 Fundy Court, Virginia Beach.
