MAXINE C. GORDON

Mrs. Maxine Cole Gordon, 93, died Aug. 11, 1994, in a Portsmouth nursing home.

Mrs. Gordon was born in Halifax County, Vernon Hill, Va. She was the widow of John Callis Gordon and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a member of Lafayette Garden Club, Woman's Club of Norfolk and was past member of Business and Professional Women's Club of Norfolk.

Survivors include a son, John Dallas Gordon of Portsmouth; a sister, Agnes Cole Womack of Charlottesville; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Robert A. Edwards. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
