Floyd Johnson, 87, of the 1700 block of St. Denis Ave., died Aug. 10, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mr. Johnson was born in Johnson County, N.C., and attended Burrows Memorial Baptist Church. He was retired from the Water Department, City of Norfolk, after 20 years and had been a part time night watchman at E.T. Gresham.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Johnson; two daughters, Janice Bateman and Thelma Gummo, both of Hudsonville, Mich.; three sons, Robert G. Johnson of Moyock, N.C., James Johnson of Sevierville, Tenn. and Wiliam O. Johnson of Frankfurt, Germany; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Carl F. Johnson.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Don Harris. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
