LCDR Paul E. King Sr., USNR (Retired), 70, of the 1000 block of Pickwick Road, died Aug. 10, 1994, in San Diego, Calif.
He was a naval aviator for 27 years and an accountant in the Virginia Beach City School System for 13 years. LCDR King was a veteran of World War II and Korea and earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal in the battles for Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores; sons, Paul Jr. and John; brothers, Carl and Bob; and granddaughters, Katie and Emma.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 17, 1994, at 11 a.m. at Haygood United Methodist Church, 4713 Haygood Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23455 (499-1269). Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. Date and time pending.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Haygood United Methodist Church.
