Helen M. Piotrowski Hocevar, 78, died Aug. 13, 1994, in her home.
Mrs. Hocevar was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on Jan. 5, 1916. She was a former resident of Virginia Beach and lived in Eastlake for eight years. She was a member of St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, Eastlake. She was a former member of the Nifty Over Fifty Club, Virginia Beach. She was employed with Marsal's Scientific Shoe Store, Cleveland, for 22 years as a cashier. She retired in 1979.
Survivors include a son and wife, Lawrence E. Hocevar and Ginny of Mentor, Ohio; daughters, Barbara and her husband, Jerome Rydzinski of Eastlake, Donna and her husband, Joseph Revak of Virginia Beach, and Julie Kuklisin of Cleveland; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, John Piotrowski of Florida and Leonard Piotrowski and Ernie Piotrowski, both of Eastlake; a sister, Jean Heil of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, August Hocevar, who died in 1976; and three brothers and one sister.
Services will be Wednesday, Aug. 17, 1994, at 10 a.m. in St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cleveland. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Monreal Company Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at a later date at the Church of the Holy Family, Virginia Beach.
