LAYLAND T. WALES

Layland Wales, 79, passed away Aug. 10, 1994, in South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Miss.

Mrs. Wales was a native of East Lake, N.C., and had moved to Ellisville three years ago to live with her daughter. She had lived many years in Norfolk and several years in Virginia Beach. She was a homemaker and also retired from the Robert Hall store in Virginia Beach. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Melissa Twiford.

Survivors include her husband, George Robert Wales; two sons, Billy Wales of Riverview, Mich., and Bobby Lee Twiford of Brewton, Fla.; one daughter, Donna Hardison of Ellisville; three sisters, Zelda Mann of Manteo, N.C., Juanita White of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., and Norma Kent Brown of Chesapeake, Va.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held Aug. 13 at 2 p.m. in the Jones Funeral Chapel in Ellisville, Miss. Burial was in the Ellisville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Randy Hardison, W.D. Hardison, Edwin Allbrooks, Delton Beech, Dave Shaw and Clifton Shaw.
