Edith D. Coltron, of the 900 block of Anna St., a retired teacher, died Aug. 14, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Coltron was born in Norfolk. She had retired from Norfolk Public School System after 11 years. She was the widow of Warnie L. Coltron and was a member of Basilica of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception. She was a member and past president of Norfolk Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Inc. and was an honorary life member of the Education Association of Norfolk and Broadcreek Shores Civic League. She was predeceased by her parents, Adiene J. Davenport and Harold S. Davenport Sr.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra C. Branch of Norfolk; one grandchild, M. Jay Branch of Norfolk; son-in-law, Milton J. Baranch; two nephews, Richard L. Davenport of Raleigh, N.C., and Tyrone L. Davenport of Durham, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Vivian M. Davenport of Clarkton, N.C.; a grand nephew; a grand niece; cousins, other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Basilica of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception by the Rev. Walter C. Barrett and the Rev. Thomas J. Quinlan. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. An Omega, Omega service and Christian wake service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Hale Funeral Home.
