Clarence Edward Barker, 75, of the 5200 block of Lowery Downs, retired owner of C.E. Barker & Co., died Aug. 16, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Barker was born in Marion, Va. He was a member of Thalia Lynn Baptist Church and a charter member of Kempsville Masonic Lodge (NU)196, AF & AM. He had been a member of the Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia C. Barker; a daughter, Susanne Barker McGhee of Virginia Beach; a sister, Ada Barker Russell of Chesapeake; a brother, Charles G. Barker of Tampa, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Jennie Sue McGhee and Holley Anne McGhee of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Masonic rites will be accorded at the funeral Home. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ronald Modlinger and staff as well as the CCU nursing staff at Bayside Hospital. Memorial donations may be made to Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad.
