JAMES W. BASHAM

James Walter Basham, 85, of S. Great Neck Road, died Aug. 17, 1994, in a Virginia Beach hospital.

Mr. Basham, a native of Roanoke, Va., was a member of Grace Brethren Church of Virginia Beach. Mr. Basham was known for his woodworking ability, especially in the doll houses he created.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Sue Basham; two daughters, Shirley Atwood of Hummelstown, Pa., and Judy Riggs of Virginia Beach; a son, Jimmy Basham of York, Pa.; a brother, Horace K. Basham of Salem, Va.; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Clayton R. Davis. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad or to the American Lung Association of Virginia. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
