Zaroohi Baboorian, 72, a homemaker, died Aug. 16, 1994, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.
Mrs. Baboorian was born in Iraq and was the widow of the Rev. Father Norses Baboorian. She was a former hostage during Desert Storm while visiting family.
Survivors include two daughters, Norik Checkosky of Middletown, N.J. and Seza Greco of Virginia Beach; two sons, Ashod Baboorian of Chicago and Razmik Baboorian of Richmond; two brothers; one sister; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in St. James Armenian Church, Richmond, by the Very Rev. Berberian. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall, Kempsville Chapel, from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
