Emma Farrow Gray, 96, of Avon, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 1994, in an Elizabeth City hospital.
Mrs. Gray, a native of Avon, was a homemaker and a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late John Devine and Willie Ann Gray Farrow and the widow of Jarvis T. Gray.
Mrs. Gray is survived by one stepdaughter, Jeanette Gray of Avon; one stepson, Warren Gray of Elizabeth City; two sisters, Lucy F. Miller of Avon and Dorcas F. Meekins of Chesapeake; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in St. John's United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. today by the Rev. Berry Taylor and the Rev. Darrel McClaren. Burial will follow in the family cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Dallas and Lucy Miller in Avon. Twiford's Island Chapel, Hatteras, is in charge of arrangements.
