CHARLIE W. TURNER

Charlie W. Turner, 78, of the 1100 block of Myrtle Ave., a retired machinist, died Aug. 17, 1994, in Chesapeake.

Mr. Turner was born in Windsor, Va., and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Air Station. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Brickhouse Turner; two daughters, Barbara Thomas and Rita Duval, both of Chesapeake; a stepdaughter, Norine Jackson of Grifton, N.C.; a sister, Mildred Jones of Hopewell, Va.; a brother, Redell Turner of Suffolk; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. William F. Mahon. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
