Joseph S. Gough, 77, of the 2300 block of Effingham St., a retired security officer, died Aug. 21, 1994, in the Naval Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Gough was born in Gough, Ga., and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 12 years. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and was an Army veteran of 21 years, having served during World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia B. Gough; a son, Deacon Joseph J. Gough; a grandchild, Tara A. Gough; a daughter-in-law, Vicky M. Gough; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Ebenezer Baptist Church by the Rev. Ben A. Beamer. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. The family will be at the residence. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
