1000 block of Virginia Ave. - 32-year-old chased and assaulted by four men who beat him with a bottle and kicked him about 6:30 a.m. Aug. 12. Victim said suspects said: ``There's a white boy, let's get him.'' 18-year-old man, 20-year-old man, and 16-year-old male charged with malicious wounding.
1100 block of Virginia Ave. - 35-year-old man assaulted during argument about 5 p.m. Aug. 20. Victim refused treatment.
1100 block of County St. - 36-year-old man said he was shot in leg about 3:30 a.m. Aug. 20. Victim treated at Portsmouth General Hospital.
ROBBERIES
2400 block of High St. - 23-year-old man robbed at gunpoint about 2 a.m. Aug. 18.
400 block of Waverly St. - 14-year-old boy and 11-year-old boy robbed at knifepoint of bicycles about 5 p.m. Aug. 21. Victims said two suspects, who apparently were twins, robbed them.

First block of Linden Ave. - 16-year-old boy charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine about 10 p.m. Aug. 10.

1000 block of Fayette St. - 23-year-old man slashed in arm with butcher knife by live-in girlfriend about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 15.
1400 block of Effingham St. - 21-year-old man attacked from behind and cut on neck with a saw-toothed knife by someone he had argued with about 3 p.m. Aug. 18.
2500 block of Graham St. - 38-year-old man pulled from his car and kicked about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 18.
1300 block of Barbour Drive - 20-year-old woman shot in leg and thigh with shotgun about midnight Aug. 17. Victim's boyfriend is suspect. Suspect stabbed in back and left arm by girlfriend. Both charged with malicious wounding.
First block of Swanson Parkway - 34-year-old hit over head with steel milk crate, requiring 22 stitches about 4:30 p.m. Aug. 19. Victim, who owes suspect money, refused to prosecute.
10 block of Holiday St. - 42-year-old man beaten between 11 p.m. Aug. 19 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 20.
1500 block of Clifford St. - 53-year-old woman beaten with stick by brother about 3 a.m. Aug. 20. Victim treated at Portsmouth General Hospital.

1900 block of Chestnut St. - 40-year-old man robbed at gunpoint after two men approached his car and took it from him about 2 a.m. Aug. 15. Suspects assaulted him and forced him from the car at fast-food restaurant. 17-year-old man and 18-year-old man charged with armed robbery, malicious wounding, carjacking and abduction.
900 block of Suburban Parkway - 10-year-old robbed of bicycle about 6 p.m. Aug. 18.
1200 block of County St. - 36-year-old man held at gunpoint about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 21. Robber fled when victim grabbed suspect's gun.
1900 block of Maple Ave. - Cash, gun, shirts, gun permit taken during which burglar brandished a gun about 4:30 p.m. Aug. 20.

Prentis Park - 38-year-old man charged with sexual assault on 10-year-old girl about 8 p.m. Aug. 16.
