Harold Yates, senior regional coordinator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, had words of caution for residents of Washington Park Tuesday night.
``Disturb the process and absolutely nothing will happen,'' Yates said.
Yates said residents of the housing park should think twice before derailing the EPA's plan to clean up the Abex Superfund Site. He said the plan is in place and ready for action.
The procedure has been long and arduous. Finally, the EPA has an approved plan to deal with lead contamination that still may exist.
Residents of the area will be smart to heed Yates' words. Stirring the pot now only will delay the cleanup. by CNB
