Andrew John Charles, 24, of Lynchburg, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 1994, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Vickie Lynn Charles.
Born June 26, 1970 in Seaside, Calif., he was a son of Capt. James R. Charles Jr.,U.S.N. Ret. and Carol Johnson Charles of Monroe. He was an employee of Lynchburg Econo Lodge.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two brothers, Peter C. Charles and wife, Tracy of Durham, N.C., and David E. Charles and wife, Jenelle of Virginia Beach; his maternal grandparents, Homer and Linda Johnson of Richmond; paternal grandmother, Blanche E. Charles of Charleston, W.Va.; and 14 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held today at 4 p.m. at Calvary Cross Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Brooks officiating. Diuguid Rivermont Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
