Jerrell Wayne Stokes Jr., 17, a student at Lake Taylor High School, died Aug. 28, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Jerrell was born in Norfolk and resided with his grandparents. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his mother, Kimberly Hope Frazier of Norfolk; his father, Jerrell W. Stokes Sr. of Chesapeake; four brothers, Jason Alexander Stokes, Jeremiah Lee Stokes, Jonathan Thomas Frazier and James Tyler Fields, all of Norfolk; his maternal grandparents, Stanley and Jean Marie Frazier of Norfolk; and paternal grandmother, Suzie Merritt of Chesapeake.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Ernest Trueblood. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
