Police are investigating the death of a 41-year-old man whose body was found behind the Fleet Reserve Association building on Oceana Boulevard.
About 6:30 a.m. Monday, police and rescue workers responded to the rear parking lot of the building, which is across the street from Oceana Naval Air Station. The body was found near a white Chevrolet Corsica.
The victim had been shot in the head. The body was sent to the medical examiner's office in Norfolk.
