LASALLE J. MCCOY SR.

After completing the works set forth in his life, Deacon LaSalle (Mac/Pop) James McCoy Sr., 75, of Chester, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Aug. 28, 1994.

He was preceded in death by his late wife, Ellamae Reid McCoy. His loving and devoted family includes five children, Jannie M. Rasberry, Olive M. Bonaparte, Lasalle J. McCoy Jr., Nona M. Harris and Barbara M. Pepper; nine grandchildren, Tyrone Harris, Phillip Irvin Jr., Calanda Harris, Crystal McCoy, George Smith III, Kevin Irvin, Darrick McCoy, LaSalle McCoy III and Monique McCoy; two great-grandchildren, Tyqun Harris and Tykia Harris; a brother, Rodger McCoy; a sister, Lenora Portlock; a daughter-in-law, Mary McCoy; a son-in-law, Randolph Pepper; stepmother, Dorothy McCoy; nine sisters-in-law; eight brothers-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews, including devoted Rev. James Barrington and James Portlock; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. McCoy was a member of the P.H. Masonic Lodge (NU)33.

Remains rest at the Mimms Funeral Home, 19th and Hull Sts., where the family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Second Baptist Church, Chester, with the Rev. Johnny Flemming, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Remains will rest in the church one hour prior to service. Relatives and friends attending funeral services will assemble at the church at 12:30 p.m. Thursday. The family may be contacted at 275-0083.
