Playing ``Hail to the Redskins,'' and ``Carmina Burana'' by Carl
Orff, the Kempsville High School marching band made its debut at RFK
stadium in Washington last Friday night in response to an invitation
early in the summer to perform at a Redskins football game. More
than 120 band members plus assorted parents, chaperones, assistants
and well-wishers made the trip from Virginia Beach. Dressed in red
and white, the Chiefs' band, at the direction of drum major Kristian
Livernois, performed for 5 1/2 minutes during halftime and played
the salute to the Redskins while marching off the field.
