Claudette Jean Gurganus Campbell, 56, of the 400 block of Park Manor Road, died Sept. 4, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Campbell was a native of Portsmouth and a member of Western Branch Baptist Church. She was a retired secretary for the Portsmouth Public Schools.
Survivors include her husband, Guy E. Campbell Sr.; two daughters, Bonnie C. Matthews of Chesapeake and Stefanie C. Robinson of Portsmouth; a son, Guy E. Campbell Jr. of Portsmouth; her father, Claude C. Gurganus of Suffolk; a sister, Tina G. Preas of Chesapeake; a brother, James N. Gurganus of Chesapeake; and eight grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. George F. Mullinax. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Endowment Fund of Western Branch Baptist Church.
