David Maurice Laughlin Jr., 34, died in Norfolk on Sept. 4, 1994, in the arms of his loving family and friends.
Mr. Laughlin was born in Chicago. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church; worshipful master of Princess Anne Masonic Lodge (NU)25; and member of Norfolk Professional Firefighters Local 68.
Survivors include his wife, Beth Laughlin; his mother, Patricia Laughlin and his father, David M. Laughlin Sr., both of Chesapeake; two sisters, Colleen Magness and Kerry Grissom, both of Chesapeake; a brother, Kevin Laughlin of Charleston, S.C.; maternal grandmother, Luella Rossi of Chicago; best friend, Andre Glaubke of Norfolk; and many loving friends.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church by Father Lou Ruoff. Family and friends are invited to the church Thursday at 11 a.m. for prayers, with a procession to follow to Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the church Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Masonic rites will be accorded at the grave. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to Hope Haven, Norfolk Professional Firefighters Local 68, or the American Cancer Society.
