Joseph B. Brown, 76, died Sept. 3, 1994 in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Brown was born in Denver, Colo. He was retired from the Army National Guard in Anchorage, Alaska, as a sergeant major after 27 years of service. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post (NU)327, Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Rose J. Brown; two sons, Daniel P. Brown of Colorado Springs, Colo. and John C. Brown of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Warren Chapman. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will be at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday before the service. Full military honors will be accorded at the grave.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Hampton Roads Chapter (NU)20, The Koger Center, Suite 233, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
