A crowd of 500 to 700 people waiting outside a nightclub for a performance by rap artist Biggie Small was dispersed by police Sunday night after the club's front window broke from the pressure of people leaning against it.
Terrell Martin, the owner of David's II Nightclub at 430 High St., and police decided to close the club because it could not accommodate the crowd.
Patrons started gathering outside about 7 p.m., two hours before the club was to open. After the window broke, police arrived and blocked off the 400 block of High St. They announced the closing of the club and asked people to leave quietly.
No arrests were made, and no injuries were reported. by CNB
