CLARENCE WEATHERS SR.

Clarence Weathers Sr., 56, of the 3700 block of Strathmoor Circle, died Sept. 3, 1994, in Sentara Bayside Hospital.

Mr. Weathers was born in Charleston County, S.C. He retired from DePaul Hospital after 25 years of service and was self-employed with Weathers Janitorial Service. He was a member of Garden of Prayer Temple Church of God in Christ, Portsmouth, and was named ``Employee of the Year at Depaul Hospital in 1969''.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Doris Weathers; three daughters, Marnita Sawyer of Camden, N.C., Wendy Copeland of Edenton, N.C., and Denise Turner of Virginia Beach; two sons, Clarence Weathers Jr. of Virginia Beach and Rudy Weathers of Norfolk; his mother, Mrs. Lela Weathers of South Carolina; a sister, Mrs. Esther Mae Richardson of Gresham, S.C.; two brothers, Herman Weathers of McClellanville, S.C., and Joe Cash of New York; 10 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Garden of Prayer Temple Church of God in Christ by Bishop L.E. Willis Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. today at T.E. Cooke-Twilight Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Family and friends will assemble at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Weathers residence, 3721 Strathmoor Circle, for the processional to the church.
