Style or substance. Image or issues. On these distinctions seem to turn many voters' questions these days. Is the political candidate more concerned about his hair than health care? More interested in bodyguards than crime reform?
With that in mind, Virginian-Pilot staff writers who reported on the Labor Day campaigning for Virginia's U.S. Senate seat have jotted down observations about the four candidates' stump styles.
