Robert Dunlap, manager of the Sea Escape hotel in Virginia Beach, was included in a news story Sept. 3 as saying that some hotels had double-booked rooms for the Labor Day weekend. That was not meant to imply that more than one reservation was being made for the same room night by some hoteliers. Dunlap meant that because of bad weather, some guests had canceled their reservations but were not being forced to pay because hotels were able to rent the room to others. by CNB
