Carl John Bassemier, 83, of the 4400 block of Deborah Ct. Ches. Entered the life triumphant on Sept. 9, 1994, in Maryview Medical Center.
Mr. Bassemier was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a shipfitter. He was also Past Worshipful Master of Seaboard Masonic Lodge (NU)56.
Survivors include his wife Pauline F. Bassemier, two daughters, Vicki Thompson of Ches. and Judith Jackson of Ports. a step daughter Frances Grabowski of Houston, TX. and four grandsons, Michael Jackson, Greg Thompson, Douglas Powell and Davis Powell.
A memorial service with Masonic rites will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday in Loving Funeral Home Churchland Chapel by Rev. Robert F. Cofield, Jr. of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Visitation will follow.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that a contribution be made to the Oasis of Ports. & Ches. or the building fund at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Ches.
The family will be at 4417 Deborah Ct. Apt. 2 Ches.
