George E. Whitley Jr., 51, died in Roanoke Chowan Hospital Sept. 2, 1994, in Ahoskie, N.C.
Mr. Whitley was a native of Portsmouth, Va., and the son of the late George E. Whitley Sr. He was a retired warehouse manager and was well known throughout the Portsmouth area.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Catherine Whitley of Portsmouth; and a brother, William H. Whitley Sr. of Portsmouth; a sister, Barbara A. Freeman of Aulander, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
