Narvilla R. Savage, 88, of the 4100 block of Chowan Ave., died Sept. 10, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Savage was born in Townsend, Va., and was a former resident of the Eastern Shore. She was the retired postmistress of Townsend, Va., after 22 years. She was the widow of Powell G. Savage Sr. and was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by a son, James W. Savage and her parents, Erma Mae Richardson Rooks and James Madison Rooks.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Lou Dye of San Diego, Calif.; a son, Powell G. Savage Jr. of Chesapeake; a sister, Mattie Lee Vincent of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Michael A. Savage of Virginia Beach and Theresa A. Stern of Chesapeake; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. G.C. Shepherd. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Capeville Methodist Church Cemetery, Capeville, Va. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
