Catherine M. Burnham, 72, of the 2200 block of Jeffrey Drive, a homemaker, died Sept. 12, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mrs. Burnham was born in Philadelphia and was predeceased by her husband, Robert Burnham in 1979. She was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church; the Widow & Widower's Club; past member of the Women's Club; served on the Coffee and Donuts Hospitality Committee; was a volunteer with St. Pius School Lunch; and was a past member of the Catholic Daughter's Court, Norfolk (NU)1212.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane Rucci of Chico, Calif.; a son, Danny Murphy of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Francis Oliver of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Claire Zielinsky of Fairless Hills, Pa.; a brother, John Doyle of Boothway, Pa.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Thursday in St. Pius Catholic Church by Father William Dale. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the church. A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the church. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Pius Catholic Church.
