Caryl Lester Ward, 53, of the 1300 block of Hodges Ferry Road, a bookkeeper, died Sept. 12, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Ward, a native of St. Mary's, W.Va., was a Baptist. She was employed with Air-o-Dyne.
Survivors include a daughter, Julia Whitehead of Chesapeake; four sons, Robert Ward of Chesapeake, Michael Ward of Virginia Beach, Seth Ward of Portsmouth and Paul Ward of Westland, Mich.; three sisters, Margaret Justis of Suffolk, Ella LaFave of Portsmouth and Betsy Lester of Chesapeake; three brothers, John Lester and David Lester, both of Portsmouth, and Charles Lester of Weston, W.Va.; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. G.W. Harley. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
