R. Curtis Talley, 70, of the 100 block of Honaker Ave., a retired dispatcher and driver, died Sept. 12, 1994, in Norfolk.
Mr. Talley was born in Regina, Va. He had retired from Old Dominion Freight Line after 33 years. He was a member of White Marsh Methodist Church. He was a life member of V.F.W. Post 4809, M.O.C. Crabs, American Legion Post 327 and I.O.O.B. He was an Army veteran of World War II and recipient of the Purple Heart.
Survivors include his wife, Adelle Waters Talley of Norfolk; a daughter, Ladelle Talley Gonzalez of Port Orchard, Wash.; a stepson, Jimmie R. Carrow of Grand Bay, Alaska; a sister, Catherine T. Harrell of Norfolk; two brothers, Joseph H. Talley and Earnest L. Talley, both of Lancaster, Va.; a granddaughter, Christian Gross, and a grandson, Jeffrey Magill.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Paul D. Moore. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and at 5445 Curlew Drive, Norfolk, after the funeral on Thursday. A V.F.W. service will be held at the chapel the day of the service.
