As a voter interested in matters concerning Virginia, and especially the 2nd District, I appreciate the paper's report from the National Taxpayer's Union (NTU) exposing the excessive spending by Democrat congressman Owen Pickett.
At a recent press conference held for Republican candidate Jim Chapman, the NTU issued its ratings for the 435 members of the 103rd Congress. These ratings were based on Congress' recorded spending and tax-hike votes.
Our own 2nd District representative, Owen Pickett, is in the top 15 percent of ``Biggest Spenders'' at number 67.
