Enoch Clayton Gaskill Sr., 76, of the 200 block of N. Dalton St., died Thursday, Sept. 15, 1994, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. in Madison Presbyterian Church, where he was a member. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.
Mr. Gaskill, a native of Ocracoke, had resided in Madison for 44 years, where he was a retired postal clerk from the Madison Post Office. He was a former deacon at his church, former member of the Madison Lions Club, a member of the Dan River Masonic Lodge (NU)129 and a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Alma Jordan Gaskill of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Enoch Clayton Gaskill Jr. of Charlotte, Keith Jordan and Amy Gaskill of Stoneville; brothers, Clinton Gaskill and Owen Gaskill, both of Ocracoke; and two granddaughters.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Madison Presbyterian Church, 204 W. Decatur St., Madison, N.C. 27025, or Ocracoke Preservation Society, Ocracoke, N.C. 27960. Ray Funeral Home, 119 N. Market St., Madison, is in charge of arrangements.
