I was shocked to see a racist remark that made it past your editors. It was in a letter (Sept. 5) and the comment was ``fat, white, bald, vulturelike Republicans.''
You and I both know that if the writer had said ``fat black'' anything, it would have never made it into the paper.
I am striving for the day when all races will be treated equally. Instead of referring to a person by skin color, we'll refer to their actions.
After all, not all Republicans are white. Let's try to get past the stereotypes, folks. They are very tiring.
