Helen L. Deal, 88, of the 3200 block of Page Ave., died Sept. 17, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Deal was born in Pikeville, Ky. She was the widow of Jack V. Deal and was a Protestant.
Survivors include a daughter, Sally Butler Saunders of Virginia Beach; a son, Daniel L. Butler of Virginia Beach; a sister, Anne Cunningham of Knoxville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Tim, Andy, Mark and Helen Saunders, all of Virginia Beach, and Les Butler of Atlanta, Ga., and Lance Butler of Versailles, Ky.; and six great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Chaplain David M. Humphreys. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, is handling arrangements. The family will receive friends at 3300 Ocean Shores Ave. in Harborgate Condominiums in the hospitality room from 3 to 5 p.m. following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
