Florence J. Groome, 81, of the 3700 block of Elliott Ave., died Sept. 19, 1994, in Portsmouth.
Mrs. Groome was a native of Schuylar, Va., and was the widow of Earl H. Groome. She was a member of Salvation Army Church of Portsmouth.
Survivors include a son, Roy L. Thacker of Portsmouth; and a brother.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Major William Davis. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
