Part of Arthur Drive, or Virginia Route 643, near Whaleyville in southern Suffolk will be closed to traffic for about three weeks, beginning Oct. 3, for repairs to the bridge over Spivey Swamp.
The road between Spivey Run Road, or Route 671, and Mineral Spring Road, or Route 616, will be closed while the state Department of Transportation makes repairs.
Traffic will detoured onto Spivey Run, Freeman Mill and Mineral Springs roads. by CNB
