Mildred Flowers Martin, 85, a homemaker, died Sept. 25, 1994, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Martin was born in Washington, N.C. She was the widow of Lawrence V. Martin and was a Catholic. She was a member of the Kempsville Woman's Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary C. Unser of Ivor and Barbara Romeo of Virginia Beach; two sons, Robert V. Martin and John J. Martin of Norfolk; three sisters, Ruby F. Murphy and Shirley Michaels of Virginia Beach and Margaret Haywood of Suffolk; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 712 Little Neck Road, by Father James Noto. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. A Christian wake service will be held on Monday at 7 p.m. in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Family will remain until 9 p.m. to receive friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 201 E. Plume St., Norfolk, Va. 23510.
