Gladys Marie Blocher Cox, 89, of the 4400 block of John Jay Lane, a retired nurse, died Sept. 25, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Cox was born in Osage County, Kan., and was the widow of John Lewis Cox Sr.
Survivors include four daughters, Grace Evelyn Dickerson of Florissant, Mo., Barbara Lee Salmon of West Chicago, Ill., Mary Belle Cox and Bonnie Lou Kofsky, both of Virginia Beach; two sons, John Lewis Cox Jr. of West Chicago and Russell Edward Cox of Denmark; a brother, Jesse W. Blocher of California City, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Colonial Grove Memorial Park by the Rev. James H. Nowell. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, from 8 to 10 p.m. today and from 10 a.m to noon Wednesday.
