Nathaniel Ferguson Remick, 61, of Norfolk, died Sept. 27, 1994, in his daughter's Portsmouth home.
Nat, a native of Smithfield, was born in New York City. He was a graduate of the University of Virginia; a former high school teacher and football coach in Smithfield; and a senior trust officer for Crestar Bank. Since 1988, he was a career counselor for Career Management Group as senior consultant. He was an Episcopalian.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann E. Remick of Portsmouth; a son, Robert W. Remick of Virginia Beach; two brothers, William C. Remick of Norfolk and Edward T. Remick of Richmond; two sisters, Elizabeth R. Fentress of Squaw Valley, Calif. and Edith E. Remick of Williamsburg; and an aunt, the Rev. Marion Ferguson of Saco, Maine.
Rev. John Jordan will conduct a funeral at Historic Old St. Luke's Church, Smithfield, at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30. Burial will be in St. Luke's Memorial Park. After the service, the family will receive friends at the daughter's home on Sandpiper Drive in Portsmouth. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home in Smithfield.
