WILLIAM M. HANNA

William Melvin ``Mel'' Hanna, 79, a retired captain and pharmacist, died Sept. 26, 1994, in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Hanna was born in Baltimore and was retired from the United States Public Health Service after 26 years. He was also retired from DePaul Hospital as a pharmacist. He was a member of Bayside Presbyterian Church and Khedive Temple of the Shrine.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Virginia Hanna; a daughter, Barbara Joyner of Richmond; a son, Bruce Hanna of Virginia Beach; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday in Bayside Presbyterian Church by Dr. Richard Keever and the Rev. Will Kiser-Lowrance. Burial will be private at a later date. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Bayside Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
