Wahada H. ``Boots'' Bagby of the 3100 block of Quimby Road, a life long resident of the area, passed away Sept. 28, 1994, in her residence.
Mrs. Bagby was born in Norfolk and was retired from Gunter Oil Company as a bookkeeper. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church; life member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority; past president of Beta Alpha Chapter as well as Sorority City Council; and active volunteer for the Virginia Opera Association. She was a former auditor/bookkeeper for the Cavalier Golf and Yacht Club and was former secretary to the airport manager of Norfolk Municipal Airport.
She is survived by her husband of over 44 years, Frank Hancock Bagby, Jr.; a sister, Beatrice Ann Sherwood of Falls Church, Va.; a niece, Barbara S. Chess of Winchester, Va.; and a nephew, Richard Sherwood of Falls Church, Va.
A graveside service will be conducted at 9 a.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. James M. Noto. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the services. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to St. Nicholas Catholic Church or Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters.
