Mrs. Margaret Davis Stanback, 54, of 6066 Churchland Blvd., Portsmouth, died Sept. 30, 1994 in Maryview Hospital.
She was a native of Nansemond County and daughter of Mrs. Annie Walker and the late Jacob Powell. She was a retired custodian with the Portsmouth School Board.
Surviving are her husband Jacob Stanback; one daughter, Cindy Davis of Portsmouth; two sons, Darryl Newton of Portsmouth and Willie Herbert Powell of Pittsburgh, Pa.; four sisters, Jessie Mae Walker and Louise Whitfield of Suffolk, Martha Patrick of Spring Valley, New York and Mary Richardson of Suffolk; one brother, Herbert Walker of Hampton; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in New Hope Baptist Church, Pughsville, by the Rev. Russell. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Peebles Funeral Home in charge. The family will be at 4429 Marlin Ave., Suffolk.
