HORACE B. HOLADIA

Horace Benjamin Holadia, 60, of the 500 block of Lavender Lane, died Oct. 2, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. Holadia was born in Roanoke Rapids, N.C. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for 22 years and was also a deacon. He had retired from the U.S. Navy with 22 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was an electrical supervisor for AMSEC in Virginia Beach and was a self-employed electrical contractor.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Irene Holadia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Richard Fitzgerald of Hyde Park, N.Y. and Cynthia and John Morris of Chesapeake; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Tammy Holadia of Anderson, S.C., and Timothy Holadia of Virginia Beach; a sister, Nellie Barnes of Columbia, N.C.; four grandchildren, Ricky Fitzgerald, Jonathan Fitzgerald and Victoria Fitzgerald, all of Hyde Park, N.Y. and Austin Luke Holadia of Anderson, S.C.; and two nephews, Gordon Barnes and Michael Holliday, both of Columbia, N.C.

The church service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Tabernacle Baptist Church by Dr. Rod Bell. Burial with full military honors will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk. The family will receive friends in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. and at the residence at all other times.
