Jerry Lee Greene Sr., 29, of the 800 block of Vermont Ave., died Oct. 1, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Greene was a native of Ahoskie, N.C. He was predeceased by his father, Hubert Milton Greene Sr. and was a marine carpenter for Waterfront Marine Construction Co. in Virginia Beach. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Barbie Lynn Greene; two daughters, Hollie Lee Greene and Jessica Lee Greene, both of Portsmouth; a son, Jerry Lee Greene Jr. of Portsmouth; his mother, Hattie P. Greene of Portsmouth; two sisters, Valerie Kay Harrell and Theresa Inez Bremer, both of Portsmouth; two brothers, Hubert M. Greene Jr. of Sturgeon, Mo., and Robert Ray Greene of Portsmouth; a maternal grandmother, Lucille Hill of Norfolk; and an uncle, Jack Bancroft of Portsmouth.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, by the Rev. Karl Sexton. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m.
