Leondas Vinson, 78, of the 26100 block of Bride St., a retired machine operator, died Oct. 1, 1994, in St. Francis Nursing Center, Newport News.
He was born in Northampton County, N.C., and was retired from Union Camp Corp. He was the widower of Vivian Vinson and was a member of David Temple AME Zion Church and its male chorus.
Survivors include two brothers, Harvey Vinson of Portsmouth and Willie Vinson of Norfolk; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in David Temple AME Zion Church, Courtland, by the Rev. Robert T. Mason. Burial will be in Helping Hand Cemetery, Courtland. Engram Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
