An Ivor woman remained in critical condition Monday, four days after her car was hit head-on by the vehicle of a Virginia Beach man who police said was driving the wrong way on Portsmouth Boulevard.
He was killed in the wreck.
Diane Santulan Altares, 18, of the 37000 block of Gen. Mahone Blvd., Ivor, was flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Police said the accident occurred at 9:55 p.m. Thursday when Curtis John Olson of the 400 block of West Farmington Road, Virginia Beach, turned westbound into the eastbound lanes of Portsmouth Boulevard, about seven-tenths of a mile from Welch Parkway.
